Meet Michael

06Nov08

The boys at Greenfaucet, where I’m a contributor along with top shelf names like Bill Luby of VIX and More and Rob Hanna of Quantifiable Edges, have been hounding me for weeks for a picture to add to my bio there – even going so far as threatening to wire the money for a photographer.

Now, generally I enjoy the anonymity that this new fangled Internet thingy affords us, but the Greenfaucet boys have finally won me over (read: nagged me half to death). So…meet Michael:

I went through all this trouble to find a picture and add that nifty blog address on the right hand side before I realized that Greenfaucet redesigned their site and now use little horizontal photos for their authors. No problemo…a little nip-n-tuck in photoshop and voila.

How’s the look? I was going for “pensive”, ”thoughtful”, ”contemplating the fate of the free world”.  I hope it didn’t come across as ”agitated”, “aging badly”, “covering up his bald spot with that silly hat”.

Happy Trading,
ms

P.S. Just joshing about the boys from Greenfaucet.  Despite Chip’s political leanings (gotcha), they really are a good bunch of guys.  Greenfaucet is a blog aggregator (in the same vein, but much more exclusive than Seeking Alpha) and I recommend checking them out if you haven’t already.

You look stupid-dope-fresh. Nice hat. In all seriousness, a good picture – certainly better than Bill Luby (I’m kidding you Bill)!

Hey watch it. Bill is a pretty man. On the inside.

  3. Looks like I’ll have to call my publicist and tell him the dreaded blog photo arms race is on…

Michael, how do you know I’m not Photoshopped on the inside too?

dskills – I read that as a direct challenge to you. Your move.

So what’s the challenge? Post my picture? Ok, you’re on. I’ll just grab a picture of Ashton Kutcher and modify it slightly.

  6. ms,

Always interesting to put a face to the “posts.” As usual, a bit of a surprise. A bit like the market, seeing a pattern where there is none, so you assign a bias to the writing/analysis…the reality is different.
